Breastfeeding Information Sessions
The group meetings cover what to expect upon the baby’s arrival and during the first hours and days after giving birth, the importance of a support network, the partner’s role, the factors that promote a good breastfeeding start, the importance of having the support of a well trained breastfeeding coach, and the benefits of participating to the activities offered by “Supportons-Lait”.
These sessions are regularly hosted by the breastfeeding support group and are offered in different sectors of both the Bonaventure and Avignon RCM. More precisely, the sessions are offered every two months and last for two hours and are hosted by a breastfeeding coach. The sessions typically take place at the CLSC in Caplan, St-Omer, and Paspebiac.
It is not necessary to have chosen to breastfeed to attend.
